Genealogy of Kashani

  • The people of Kashani village are originally from Nadaun, Hamirpur. A person of Rana dynasty from Nadaun moved to Arakot in Uttar Pradesh now Utrakhand.
  • A person from that family in Arakot went to settle in Khashadhar, Chhohara.
  • Bahadur Singh, a member of this family in Khashadra came to Kashani with the help of a pundit of Bhertu (Sharontha).
  • Bahadur Singh was a Khash Rajput, hence the name of this village was called Khashaini, now Kashani.
  • After Beh Ram this genealogy is in sequential form. The generations between Bahadur Singh and Beh Ram, could not be ascertained.
Genealogy - An Overview:
  • Beh Ram had two sons- Dharungu and Dafru. Dharangu's lineage continued till his eighth generation.
  • Dafru had three sons - Janard, Shei and Bakaria.
  • Janard's son Jeev Ram had two sons, Tegu and Jamal, whose descendants are known as as Tegta and Janartha respectively.
  • The descendants of Shei are called Shetha, Jia Lal (Kharonta) was the last descendant of Shetha.
  • The descendants of Bakaria had been having only one son upto seven generations. Some descendants of Bakria write Brakta as their surname
  • Talogta family are the descendants of Taloku. As per hearsay they might have come in to this village in the period of Janrad, Shei and Bakria from village Sazar.
  • In addition to the descendants of Bahadur Singh and Taloku, the descendants of Ranchu, Puriya, Rouda, Mangalu, have also been discovered. Girhardi Lal, the descendants of Puria migrated to Kharla village and the remaining descendants continued for a few generations.
